Kitchen and Bath Designer Job Description

Premier Kitchens is a locally owned and operated kitchen and bathroom cabinets supplier and installer in Collingwood.  We specialize in new custom cabinetry design and installation, as well as minor renovations.  We are looking to add a new Kitchen and Bath Designer to our team who will meet and consult with our clients to design and sell new custom kitchens, baths, other cabinetry, counter tops and accessories.   We are looking for an exceptional, hands-on designer who can take into account a client’s style preferences and needs, combine this with design initiative and current trends to achieve fantastic results.  Experience and understanding of residential construction would be an asset in this role.

Salary Range (depending upon experience) - $35,000 - $60,000

Designer Responsibilities

​

• Work as an integral part of our top-notch design and installation team

• Design, present and sell project designs

• Book one-on-one client meetings in the showroom and on-site

• Assist and guide clients on design, identifying their requirements and provide appropriate information, features and benefits of recommended products and

• Learn and design projects using our cabinet suppliers proprietary design program

• Source, price and order special products for clients, confirm specifications and help manage delivery dates

• Preparation of project for installation;  Ordering product, scheduling and staging, prep installation guide,

• Assist in project management of installation as required  

• Liaison with trade partners as needed

• Resolve customer concerns and objections in a timely manner, including investigating and taking the appropriate action to ensure customer satisfaction

• Maintain design and showroom areas as required

• Keep up to date on design trends and new products

 

The Experience and Education We are Looking For

 

• College Certificate:  Kitchen and Bath Design or Interior Design

• 1-3 yrs experience as a kitchen or interior designer

• Ability to sell directly to clients

• Familiarity with design programs and ability to read blueprints

• Familiarity with building code

• Active listening skills and attention to detail

• Excellent organizational and time management skills

• Proficient with Microsoft Office (excel, word)

• Able to work independently and as part of a team
